About This Project

Estanala Sunroom
Tore down the old back porch and built a new sunroom! We removed the brick and re-used them on the exterior of the new sunroom as a knee wall. Removed some of the concrete so as to install a footing and poured a new slab to bring the level up so there is not a step down from the house! We attempt to build the new structure to not look like an addition, but original to the home! On the exterior, we installed Hardie Fiber Cement siding and brick knee wall. The new soffit/fascia matched the dimension and lined up perfectly with of the old soffit/fascia. We installed 6″ seamless aluminum gutters with new downspouts. We matched the existing roof, using 30 year dimensional shingles and synthetic underlayment with ice & water barrier in the valley. We installed PGT E-Z-E Breeze windows, Provia storm door with pet door, new exterior motion LED lighting, back door LED light, and painted the exterior with Sherwin-Williams exterior Emerald paint. On the interior, we installed electrical receptacles/switches, mini-split HVAC system, R-30 insulation in the ceiling, R-13 insulation in the walls, mildew resistant sheetrock, stained beadboard ceiling, LED recessed lights with dimmer switch, ceiling fans, new Provia Legacy Steel back door with pet door, 12×24 porcelain tile floor, baseboard, shoe molding, and door window trim. We painted the walls and trim using Sherwin-Williams products.
